on each of the three levels of the building a communal space provides direct contact with the surrounding landscape.
  • the ground floor gives access to the garden
  • the first floor is oriented towards the court of the manor
  • the top level looks out over the old branch of the river mulde.

the three communities of 11 inhabitants each and their care personnel can thus identify at an individual level. the individual rooms, the corridors and the communal spaces provide large windows with low and wide sills that provide seating and make informal and spontaneous communication possible at many points in the building.
a further 18 rooms were provided in the refurbished manor house.
