ebawe stair building, eilenburg
the additional stair was designed to shorten internal distances in the existing administration building. it connects the archive in the basement and the offices on ground and first floor. it allows for a later extension of the stair to the top floor.
the stair at right angle to the building is supported by the exisiting floor slabs and is supported at its opposite end by a curved masonry shell. the new element is separated from the existing building by a glazed strip in the façade of profiled aluminium sheet.
