Allianz conference centre, Leipzig

An unused roof garden on top of an existing and occupied office block was converted into a conference centre around a roof garden. The facade was opened up and two large glazed foyer areas were added to simplify orientation in the center.

Participants in the seminars were thus given generous internal and external recreational areas. The glass roofs can be shaded with motorised external blinds and the doors to the roof garden can be fully removed to combine foyer and garden into one relaxed yet elegant ensemble.

Due to corporate re-structuring the building with space for 1400 office workers has been empty since 2007.
