the sanftwut (gentle rage) theatre can be found on the first floor of the listed mädler passage, the most prominent of the characteristic covered shopping streets of leipzig.

300 sqm were converted to provide seating for up to 150 guests, management and performers facilities and a pub. the aim was to provide maximum flexibility on a minimum budget. a moveable stage and a curtain on an s-shaped rail allow more intimate settings for smaller audiences as well as an arrangement for maximum capacity. industrial roller shutters close the theatre off visually and accoustically against the lively arcade.
