Bockelwitz no. 3

By refurbishing the staff and stable building of a derelict farm, appartements and seminar rooms have been created.

The local job centre and the inBit training provider accommodate up to 18 long-term unemployed with addiction problems in the building. Trained by older craftsmen they develop new skills and confidence by rebuilding the derelict ensemble together. this is a long-term project regenerating the village while also improving prospects of both disadvantaged and older workers.

The ensemble is heated with CO2-neutral tree cuttings from local orchards. The drying store for the chips is to be established in a derelict barn on the farm.
