sightline algorithm
for the various stadia and auditoria-projects - usually in collaboration with ian ritchie architects, tagebau developed an algorithm to develop alternative seating and sigthline configurations. cb and st programmed the tool on the basis of a standard product for parametric design.
the tool allows the rapid testing of options and "what-if"-questions.
the input of values such as depth of step, distance from stage or playingfield as well as the so-called "c-value" are input as numeric values. the tool then generates the seating geometry as a 3d model. this model can then be exported to all cad-systems or printed whole or in parts on 3d-printers.
the tool is currently only available to tagebau in-house as well as the design-team partners in the relevant projects.
