Sightline Algorithm

For the various stadia and auditoria-projects - usually in collaboration with Ian Ritchie Architects, tagebau developed an algorithm to develop alternative seating and sigthline configurations. CB and ST programmed the tool on the basis of a standard product for parametric design.

The tool allows the rapid testing of options and "what-if"-questions.

The input of values such as depth of step, distance from stage or playingfield as well as the so-called "C-value" are input as numeric values. The tool then generates the seating geometry as a 3D model. This model can then be exported to all CAD-systems or printed whole or in parts on 3D-printers.

The tool is currently only available to tagebau in-house as well as the design-team partners in the relevant projects.
