the cultural barn in börtewitz was the chosen venue for the prize-giving ceremony for this year's saxon state price for rural building on 10 december 2007. in front of well over 200 guests two tagebau projects, the cultural barn itself and the refurbished farm building in bockelwitz received prizes in the highest category.
