the visitors enter the building under the main auditorium which is being carried by the ticket office and the cloakrooms.

a stripey landscape of stairs, ramps and wide balustrades leads the visitor up to the café and on to the auditorium itself. the soffit of the foyer and the generous balustrade, places to sit and talk, are covered in a red carpet, which is pulled across the entrance facade and covered by a glass facade.

the exisiting courtyard of the music school is turned into the centre of the complex, giving direct access to the café and offering an alternative stage during the summer months.
