Music theatre, Linz

Close to the centre, but engulfed by traffic arteries the music theatre is placed in "splendid isolation".

For escalator cascades pick up the visitors at the different arrival points and transport them to the foyer high above the city. It is here that the visitor arrives in the theatre. From here all auditoria can be reached and the restaurant on top of the drawing tower. The compact building places all critical functions in immediate vicinity to each other and allow optimised production processes.

All workspaces are placed behind the golden skin of the building to give them natural light. Auditoria, stores and other ancillary rooms are placed in the centre of the building.
