appartment towers, ufa

tagebau architekten + designer and mlw ingenieure leipzig were asked by züblin design and build contractors in 2006 to design two 20 storey appartment towers in ufa, russia.
the towers are placed on a two-storey high base with retail and office areas and has two underground parking levels.
the organic floor plates allow optimised circulation areas and appartements which are clearly orientated to the outside of the building and the views over the city. the building envelope consists of a combination of glazed areas and balconies with glazed winter-shutters. the building can thus react to the continental climate with its seasonal extremes
on the roof level three penthouses per tower are designed as individual two-storey villas with there own sheltered gardens.
